Soft Star recently sent me a pair of their Soft Star DASH shoes to try out and review. I’ve had a few patients come in with these shoes and they’ve only said good things about them. After wearing the shoes for just a few minutes I
kinda thought “these shoes are like a Vitamix”; I wish I had bought them years ago and I want to wear them everyday. They’re way more comfortable than I expected, even with the mere 2mm street sole. So, “pleasantly surprised” is an understatement.
Soft Star RunAmoc shoes are handcrafted in Oregon and they’ve been in the business since 1985. I don’t think a shoe can be more flexible and “minimalist” and still be a shoe. They’ve got a wide toe box so your toes can move too, yet they feel like a slipper – but they don’t look one. So no, you won’t get any weird looks from people wondering where your pajamas and night cap are when you’re out shopping for your gluten-free snacks in the late evening.
The shoes are made with formaldehyde-free leather and you can wear them without socks. I often can’t wear shoes without socks as I get some skin irritation where they rub my foot/ankle. But no problem with the Soft Star RunAmocs and I’ve worn them a lot over the past two weeks.
As you may know with most Sock Doc shoe reviews – I really don’t have a whole lot to say. If I like a shoe, I write about it. If I don’t then you just won’t see it on this site. Just go buy a pair of Soft Star RunAmoc – you’ll be happy you did. No, I didn’t pay for mine, (thank you Soft Star), but I’ll be buying some for my kids.

I live in southern California and wonder where I can buy this shoe. I have a wide front foot and every shoe I buy rubs the sides of my feet, so was on the verge of looking into having my shoes made, until I saw this on your page.

You buy them on-line.
